First sod cut

The first sod was cut by the Town Estate on Tuesday in preparation for the arrival of the pre-assembled bridge and it is hoped the work might be complete by the Spring Bank Holiday.

The works are just one part of the Big Picture Appeal to rejuvenate the town's parks. One playground has already been revamped and work is progressing on the creation of a synthetic five-a-side
