Lady Wilton Bridge

Lady Wilton BridgeThe Lady Wilton Bridge was built in 1822 and was fully constructed in just four months. This superseded a bridge that was 100 feet to the west, that was partly paid for by the Harborough family.

An aknowledgement of this fact was built into the Lady Wilton Bridge, and can be viewed from the Memorial Gardens.

The stone recording is:

This arch was erected at the expence of the Right Honourable Robert Earl of Harborough 1775
