The above sponsors names have been engraved on the inside of the lid. Engraved on the outside lid – Melton Mowbray Town Estate Coat of Arms with the wording Melton Mowbray 1986.
The time capsule was sealed using argon gas to preserve the contents and was buried in the foundations, on the site of the original Butter Cross.
